I am working towards making more of an impact on this issue by addressing teens in fashion workshop this summer. We will talk about style, taste, and age appropriate fashion. Stay tuned because the talk will be available on YouTube before we hit 'back to school' shopping.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14440110858650643591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8096361865804760396.post-70209125110751880102013-05-14T10:53:27.245-05:002013-05-14T10:53:27.245-05:00The extremes do make for good laugh lines, but my ...The extremes do make for good laugh lines, but my three daughters and I really do want to understand each other's desires and come to a meeting of the minds. Pretty, tasteful, stylish, flattering, affordable, comfortable. It is so much to ask from one dress/swimsuit/pant/shoe. I wish the designers of big girl and tween clothing would help us out a little bit. As each daughter has grown out of 6x, we have grieved that designers of children's clothing (probably 20-somethings) apparently think 7 land 8 year olds want to dress like 16 year olds. They don't. My twelve year olds doesn't. They want to be pretty, not trashy/sexy. Lands End has been a help to us in the swim suit department. Surprisingly, Justice, the store I love to hate, has a few cute, modest swimsuits as well. In addition, their underwear selection offers comfortable, beige panties without elastic legs and waists (integrated) for wearing under white shorts. Their bra selection and camisoles for tweens is helpful too. These are the only things I buy at Justice. In and out, before the music and chaos drives me mad.Kathryn Frankfurthttp://www.stelladot.com/kathrynfrankfurtnoreply@blogger.com
