Glitz & Glamor Holiday Style

I get so excited to about styling and putting together holiday looks!  It is the best time of the year to pull out some glitzy and glamorous pieces.  A little fur and sparkle always goes well with snow :)  Plus we are always looking for ways to be dressed up during the holidays, but not overdressed!  I've got 2 great things here for ya ladies.  First, the faux fur vest.  You've seen me wear it before, and I can't get enough of it.  This garment is functional and fashionable when it's 10 degrees outside (as it was when I did this photo shoot, lol.)

Second, you need a little blingy blingy this holiday.  Remember all those 'right hand diamond' commercials.   A little cheesy, but there a good point there.  I don't always want to wear a big piece of statement jewelry, but I still want my jewelry to make a statement!  So I got this perfectly subtle 'right hand ring' for such a style!  Anjolee jewelry has the best selection of sparkle because you can customize pieces to be exactly what you want to fit your style.  If rings aren't what your looking for I drool over their Riviera Necklace.

Can we have a moment for the box my ring came it.  I literately gasp when I opened it and the ring had its very own little spot light to help it shine and sparkle when I saw it for the first time.

Follow the link to the Anjolee website and you can start making your wish list ;)

Blazer Basics

Do y'all remember {this} post, about my hair.  It includes a funny story, tips on how I temper my hair, and featured a great preppy blazer from J.Crew.  Well that blazer has since become part of the 'in 15 pounds pile'.  Currently it's too small, and I've been missing it :(

Funny story though....  This is that blazer!!!!  As Bella Moxie and I were digging through the backroom at Second Debut, this classic tweed riding jacket from J.Crew jumped into my arms, and  in a size that fits!  I couldn't even believe it!  I knew it was meant to be and that it must be part of this feature post!  We are reunited and it feels so good.  You can unite with with this blazer and more on Thursday, August 14th at the Fall Fashion Party.  This shindig won't disappoint.  You'll enjoy exclusive fashions, personal styling and light bights!  Get your tickets {here}.

1 Outfit 1 Day 2 Ways

http://lifeinfashionwithlindaisy.blogspot.com/2014/06/1-outfit-1-day-2-ways.html

Like many of you, my days are not always filled with glitz, glamor, and gallivanting around from one fantastic thing to the next.  Yesterday my hours were scheduled for a Target run, going to the bank, waiting at the DMV, and hanging out with some cool kids in the afternoon.  Shorts and and a tank top it was; there was not even an accessory to be found on me.  But after all of that running around, I did have a rendezvous scheduled with some of favorite ladies at Bar La Grasa.  Obviously I wanted to be a little more put together for the the crowd at BLG.  Digging through my closet in a rush and making a costume change wasn't going to happen.  I already had enough on my to do list, stressing about clothes was not going to be another one.  So I took my day look to a styled night outfit.

Key Add Ons:

Layering with a blazer.  This gives a structured look that the knit tanks does not have on it's own.  Also the blazer is in navy, much more approachable than black and keeps the look casual.

Style is in the details.  Rolling the sleeves of the blazer shows off the striped lining and gives is a cool casual summer night feel.  The tiny tuck is essential, this breaks up the all the fabric and shows a waist line.

Accessorizing right.  A long necklace draws the eye in and compliments the line of the blazer.  Also, gold jewelery elevates any look.  A chunky bracelet is easy and a quick grab.  Wedge shoes, not as dressy as a heel but gives you the same 'night out' style!

Fashion Fix Favorites

I am frequently asked by guests at the Styled Right Workshop, and clients - what's in my closet, what can't I live with out?  For the most part this list stays pretty true, sometimes things change and new items are added.  I often recommend my picks to clients, friends, and family.  Guess what, you're my friends and family too!  If you want to be a client, that can also happen - just link {here}!

1. J.Crew Vintage Tee - white and black are essential, if you want to get fun I love the neon pink and green too

3. Old Navy Rock Star Skinny Jeans - dark, dark, dark wash!

4. Steve Madden Ballet Flats - a nude shoe should be in every closet

I Miss You

Blouse {American Eagle Outfitters}
Tee {J.Crew}
Denim {Old Navy}
Boots {Mia}

What I miss...  Number one, this navy stripe tee from J.Crew.  Darn the red permanent that left its mark and took this top away from me!  Number two, I miss it being warm in March.  Although the temps haven't been terrible this month, I could stand a few degrees in the upward direction.  Number three, having time for photo shoots!  I remember this being a leisurely Sunday when my friend Erin came over to take these pics.  After we drank wine, ordered pizza, and relaxed.  Now I can't remember when the last Sunday was when Eric and I didn't have something scheduled.

What do you miss?

Cute Girl {Photo Bomber}

I have been rummaging through pics of old photo shoots and these melted my heart.  One, because they were taken my amazing sister, who has been an unshakable supporter of me and Fashion Fix since the beginning.  She comes to every workshop and is my best promoter!  Two, how cute is this little photo bomber!  She was watching from afar the whole time and just couldn't wait to jump into the snapshot :)  Three, seriously those sun rays make me sigh.

I can feel the sun and smell the grass in these pictures!
