Google Out, Bloglovin' In...

Many of you already know that Google Reader is on its way out the door.  In light of that news many blog followers and blog writers are making to move to Bloglovin'.  Bloglovin' already has a mass of users and, I'm late to the party!  Here is a quick step by step on how to sign up for Bloglovin' and how to follow Life in Fashion (Fix).  Don't sweat it though, if this is all too much you can still simply follow by email.

Quick note, the web address for this blog is still lifeinfashionwithlindaisy.blogspot.com.  So if you search for this blog on Bloglovin' you will need to search Life in Fashion with Lindaisy not Life in Fashion (Fix).  Which if you are just joining us, the name change of the blog is all in effort to merge my social media life with my business life.  Business life being Fashion Fix LLC, you can read all about that {here}.

1. Visit Bloglovin' {here}.  This is what you will see...

2.  You can do one of two things, Login or Sign Up.

3. If you Login, search Life in Fashion With Lindaisy.  Then click to follow.

4. If you Sign Up, search Life in Fashion With Lindaisy.  Then click to follow.

5. You can also use Facebook to follow.

You may also see that there is now a Bloglovin' button in the side bar here.  That is a direct link to follow this blog.  Basically a shortcut around all of the steps I just listed, lol!

See you all in the new blog world :)

Plates; Not just for dinner...

Accessorizing is one of the BIGGEST struggles my clients have.  It's the missing link between just wearing some clothes and looking like you put together an outfit.  Layering on jewelry can take a look from casual to styled.  When clients tell me they don't know how to accessorize, they're wrong.  The real problem is that they can't find their accessories!  Once I get their jewelry out and organized, their eyes turn big and bright.  Clients see pieces they forgot they had and get excited to wear things that they haven't even taken the tags off of.

I get it.  It's hard to get it all cleaned out and organized, but try to think outside the box a little though.  Jewelry boxes don't always do the trick, and frankly they're ugly most of the time, with not very much storage.  So what do I use, dinner plates and serving trays!  You can use dinnerware for much more, such as business cards.  I just taped it off, painted it, and voila!

Why does this work?  I am glad you asked!  First you can configure the storage how ever you want.  You are not restricted to store rings and necklaces to how a jewelry box might be designed.  The white background helps the color on the jewelry pop and it makes your jewelry look more interesting.  Also it it gives you more space so pieces don't get hidden by others or get tangled together.

What I used...

Shop, Style, Save...ON, Sequined Tank

The votes are in and the last item in this series to be styled is the sequined tank!  If you are just joining, read up {here} about the Shop, Style, Save series on the blog.  If you didn't catch the first store to be shopped, read about that {here}!  If you missed the first piece that was shopped, styled and saved, see it {here}, the second piece {here}, and the third piece {here}.

I have to say, I was so hoping that this tank would be voted in!  I am a sucker for sequins and I can find a way to wear them anywhere, anytime.  My clients are constantly looking for small ways to jazz up their wardrobe, and this piece will do the trick.  It's a simple cut, in a comfortable fabric, and basic color.  Yet it's dazzled up with sequins.

Shop, Style, Save...ON, Black Sleeveless Top

OMG, these sleeves silk tops are saving my life this summer.  So as you know, just over a year ago my heart thumped and fell in love with Eric.  Since then the both of us have gotten 'fat & happy'.  Lot's of succulent dinners out, cocktails, frozen yogurt dates, etc... Add on the two of us starting 2 small businesses, and it's been a weight gain disaster.  You can see those shops {here} and {here}!

While I am counting the calories and walking the lake, these tops are making it work for me to stay cool and stylish.  The small collar gives it a little structure at the neck, the drape over the bust lays nicely so that even though they are loose, you don't look frumpy.  I can wear them dressy, casual, or sassy!  Right now at the ON you can find it in tons of colors too :)

If you are just joining and have no idea why this post is titled Day 3 at Old Navy, read up {here} about the Shop, Style, Save series on the blog.  If you didn't catch the first store to be shopped, read about that {here}!  If you missed the first piece that was shopped, styled and saved see it {here}, and the second piece {here}.

Shop, Style, Save...ON, Green Dress

Emerald green, Pantone's color choice for 2013.  Not for that reason alone did this dress jump out at me, but because it only took 1 second for the life of this dress to flash before my eyes.  I am a knit dress junkie!  When you find one in a dazzling color with a traditional fit, you can work wonders with it.  These three outfits here are just the tip of the iceberg for this lovely.
